New Article on Project ECHO

Addressing the most entrenched social problems like health inequity and unequal access to specialty medical care is really hard for organizations to accomplish at scale while maintaining their mission and legitimacy. But one organization has figured out how to do it. In our new article in "Voluntas: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations"Jason Spicer and I examine the case of Project ECHO, whose model has been used in nearly 200 countries by 4 million people to bring professional/technical expertise in the health/medical, civics, and educational sectors to where it is most needed. Its ability to diffuse globally and scale quickly results from its unique organizational model which is structured like a social movement. The article is open access so please share widely!
